I was a licensed California Real Estate Broker for 34 years, with over 20 years as the principal broker/owner of Batson-Potter and Associates (CENTURY 21 Best Properties) from 1983 until February 2003. I served as president of the Yucaipa Valley Board of Realtors in 1993 and again in 1999, and also served four terms as Treasurer of the board. Also served as a director for the Board of Realtors for a total of 16 years. I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of California, Riverside. My parents first moved to Yucaipa in 1957, and I brought my family to live here after being discharged from the Air Force in 1969. My family includes my wife Karen and five children (Lisa, Cindy, Kathy, and twins Mark & Kimberly), nine granddaughters (Jennifer, Stephanie, Tricia, Carlee, Sarah, Nicole, Allison, Casidy, and Ellie), and one great grandson (Owen). My hobby has always been working on cars. They were daily drivers in the 1960's and have now become classics. While I appreciate all old cars, Pontiacs are my favorites. I seem to have fallen in a rut with collecting only 1967 GTO's and 1965 Big cars. Suffice to say that if I had more storage room, I'd have more cars.
